      This depends on a few things. Firstly where the meteor is, is it in an atmosphere or in the vacuum of space. Next you would need to consider how big it is. The bigger a meteor is the greater the effect of gravity upon it so the faster it will move. Finally it would depend what it is near, a bigger planet would have a greater gravitational ‘pull’ on the meteor。Meteors entering our atmosphere generally travel anywhere between 7 – 45 miles a second.
