1 Question: can it rain on the moon? Keywords: moon, rain Asked by 11wiloma to James, Marcus, Martin, Rob, Suzanne on 16 Mar 2012.
Martin Zaltz Austwick answered on 15 Mar 2012:
Nope. No atmosphere, no water. No clouds.
Marcus Gallagher-Jones answered on 16 Mar 2012:
It can’t sadly. There is not enough gravity on the moon to hold water (or gases for that matter) in place to form an atmosphere.
Robert Thompson answered on 20 Mar 2012:
Yeah, Not enough gravity to hold an atmosphere, so even if there was water on the moon when it evaporated to start forming a cloud it would just float off into space.
