• Question: Do you think we could ever develop superpowers?

      If everyone developed superpowers they wouldn’t look super anymore! I don’t know how, but I think it’s possible that we could develop or engineer superpowers.

      Maybe with a bit of genetic manipulation but we’d first have to figure what we could change without damage and what we should change to get superpowers. Those experiments however are unlikely to be possible, most nations frown on that kind of human testing.

      Well, some people have what we would consider superpowers, like being able to do amazing mental feats, or remember huge amounts of things. Depends what you consider a superpower.

      We could probably engineer some superpowers. The easiest ones would be tweaking something we can already do to make it better, stronger or faster. Something like flying (with or without wings) would be trickier, and I’m not sure how on earth we’d figure that out. It’s probably more likely that we’ll develop technologies that allow us to do things rather than changing our bodies to do things. Think batman and iron man, rather than superman.

      Of course, it seems it helps if you’re a billionaire…
