Treating people with cancer (using lasers) – in some cases this added years to their lives.

Oh wow, I can’t top Martin. I have never done anything like that. I really couldn’t put anything down yet. I’m hopping the most exciting thing I do at UCL is yet to come. I’ve just got my lab working properly again so hopefully it will happen soon.

Nothing as exciting as fighting cancer with lasers, I’m afraid.

We did put on a circus show about quantum physics, which was a really awesome project, and we’re working on a new version. I’m quite excited about that.

I think the first time myself and my group used the XFEL was the most exciting. Knowing you are doing something less than a hundred people in the world have done is pretty exciting.

      Can’t beat fighting cancer though.
