I think the smart phone is great. It’s totally changing how we interact with information. It’s also really good for, for example, homeless people. It lets them access services and apply for jobs online without either having to have a home internet or using public services like libraries, which are usually underfunded and don’t have enough resources. We do so much stuff online, and a lot of things are cheaper if you do them online, being able to take care of things using a reliable portable internet connection will level the playing field a lot.

      Excelent question,

So since 2001, hmmm I’m not sure, I was going to say the internet but realised that was the 20th century….. Maybe flexible electronics, although they aren’t really pass produced yet they will be soon. They will make almost everything cheaper because we will be able to print circuit boards like newspapers which is a lot cheaper. You will also be able to print a TV, Impressive.

Web 2.0? YouTube, twitter, facebook – a world wide web where everyone takes part and shares their ideas and lives. I know that’s more a trend than an invention, but I’m still having it!
