I didn’t really decide that I wanted to be a scientist and then pursue it. I sort of fell into it when I continued on from my undergraduate degree at University and became a scientsist when I started to do inedpendent research for my phD.

I don’t think I did. It was more of a natural process. I just happened to be interested in science and wanted to keep studying it. The easiest way to that was to have job that meant I was paid to do just that :).

I don’t know, I kind of have a more fluid view on life now. I just want to be doing what I enjoy at the moment. I’m quite happy doing science now, but that doesn’t mean I will do it forever. I think though no mater what I do my brain will always work in a scientific way.
